While there’s still a lot of 2020 left, we’re already thinking about 2021. Specifically, we’re very eager to see the new Cadillac Escalade. Every year, this SUV just gets better and better, and there are some exciting changes and upgrades we’re especially looking forward to seeing.
Variety of Powertrains
The standard engine in the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is a 6.2-liter V8 that produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. There is also a 3.0-liter Duramax I-6 turbodiesel engine that puts out 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. A 6.2-liter supercharged small-block V8 is also expected to join the lineup. A 10-speed automatic transmission with manual paddles is standard with every engine.
Many Suspension Choices
How do you want your Cadillac Escalade to ride? The choice is up to you. With the base trim, you will get coil springs that utilize passive dampers. You can also get coil springs that use magnetorheological Magnetic Ride Control. Top-of-the-line is an air-sprung adaptive suspension with magnetorheological MRC dampers.
The infotainment system in the 2021 Cadillac Escalade offers three different screens. There’s a 7.2-inch touchscreen for the driver to the left of the steering wheel. Behind the wheel is a 14.2-inch display that has several customizable options, including infrared night vision. The center stack features a 16.9-inch screen that displays audio and navigation details. Plus, the navigation system uses augmented reality, which overlays graphics onto live street views, making it virtually impossible to get lost.
